Hi, I’m Ash, the face behind A Lasting Impression Studios

I’m a professional photographer based in the heart of Illawarra, and I’ve been in love with photography for as long as I can remember. I first discovered my passion using a camera borrowed from my Nan on holidays and road trips. Those early moments behind the lens sparked something in me, enough that I eventually bought my own camera and began photographing friends and family. That’s where it all started, and my love for capturing real, meaningful moments has only grown since.

I believe photography should feel like you. I’m drawn to the real, messy, funny and emotional moments that make your family unique rather than expecting everyone to be perfectly posed. I want you to feel relaxed in front of my camera, have fun together and walk away with photographs that genuinely feel like your family.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood. My experience in early childhood education has given me a deep understanding of children and how to connect with them in a calm, patient, and genuine way. Whether it’s guiding little ones through a family session, giving them time to warm up or capturing their natural personalities, this background helps me create a comfortable and positive experience for families. Children don’t need to perform for my camera, they get to be themselves.

Outside of photography, you’ll usually find me camping, 4WDing, or off on an adventure somewhere new. I bring that same sense of fun and curiosity to every session, helping people feel relaxed and confident in front of my lens.

Most of all, I hope to become more than just the photographer you book once. I want to be there to capture the different chapters of your family as they grow from couples and engagements, to maternity, babies, birthdays and all the little milestones in between.
