Hi, I’m Ash, the face behind A Lasting Impression Studios

I’m a professional photographer based in the heart of Illawarra, and I’ve been in love with photography for as long as I can remember. I first discovered my passion using a camera borrowed from my Nan on holidays and road trips. Those early moments behind the lens sparked something in me, enough that I eventually bought my own camera and began photographing friends and family. That’s where it all started, and my love for capturing real, meaningful moments has only grown since.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood. My experience in early childhood education has given me a deep understanding of children and how to connect with them in a calm, patient, and genuine way. Whether it’s guiding little ones through a family session or capturing their natural personalities, this background helps me create a comfortable and positive experience for families.

Outside of photography, you’ll usually find me camping, 4WDing, or off on an adventure somewhere new. I bring that same sense of fun and curiosity to every session, helping people feel relaxed and confident in front of my lens.
