The Little Moments That Make Motherhood Everything

Mumma, when was the last time you were actually in the photographs instead of being the one taking them? 🤍

Your camera roll is probably filled with hundreds of photos of your little ones. Their smiles, their milestones, the funny things they do and all those moments you never want to forget.

But somewhere between capturing everyone else's memories, you might have forgotten to include yourself.

And that's exactly why I love motherhood photography.

Because one day, your children won't just want to see photographs of themselves growing up. They'll want to see you there beside them, too.

You Don't Need To Have It All Together

One of the biggest things I hear from mums is that they want to wait.

Wait until they feel more confident. Until the kids are a little older. Until life settles down. Until they've found the perfect outfit.

But motherhood doesn't exactly come with a pause button, does it? 😂

Your little ones don't care whether your hair is perfectly styled or whether you're having one of those days where you've reheated your coffee three times.

They care about being close to you.

The cuddles, the kisses, the way you scoop them into your arms and the comfort they find just by being beside you.

That's what I want you to see when you look back at your photographs.

Not perfection. Just you, being their mum.

The Beautiful, Messy, Completely Ordinary Moments

I love a beautiful photograph of a mumma holding her little one close.

But you know what else I love?

The giggles when someone starts being silly. The tiny hands grabbing your face. The unexpected kisses. The toddler who decides sitting still is absolutely not happening today. 😂

Some of my favourite photographs happen in those moments when everything stops going to plan.

Because motherhood isn't always quiet, calm and picture-perfect.

Sometimes it's loud, messy and completely chaotic.

And sometimes it's the softest little cuddle that makes the whole world feel still for a second.

There's room for all of it in your gallery.

You Deserve To Be In The Frame

I think mums can be their own harshest critics.

It's so easy to look at a photograph and notice the things you wish were different about yourself.

But I want you to think about something.

When your children look at photographs of you, what do you think they'll see?

They'll see the person who held them when they were little. The arms that made them feel safe. The smile they grew up knowing.

They won't be looking for the things you were worried about.

They'll just be happy you're there.

And I think that's a pretty beautiful reason to step in front of the camera. 🤍

One Day, These Will Be The Memories

One day, those tiny hands won't be quite so tiny.

The little one who wants to be carried everywhere will be running off on their own adventures.

The cuddles will change, the routines will change, and the version of motherhood you're living right now will become another chapter of your story.

That's the thing about photographs.

They give us a way to remember the little details we didn't realise we'd miss.

The way they fitted into your arms. The way they laughed with you. The way they looked at you like you were their whole world.

And the beautiful thing is, you get to be part of those memories too. 🤍

Ready To Capture Your Motherhood Story?

Whether you're a first-time mumma, have a house full of little personalities, or simply feel like it's been far too long since you've had photographs with your children, you're welcome exactly as you are.

Motherhood sessions are available outdoors across the Illawarra and South Coast NSW, as well as in my Warrawong studio.

We'll cuddle, laugh, play, and let your little ones be themselves. I'll gently guide you along the way, but there's no pressure for everything to go perfectly.

Because these photographs aren't about creating a perfect version of motherhood.

They're about remembering yours.
