Couples photos don’t have to mean standing perfectly still, looking at the camera and wondering what on earth you’re supposed to do with your hands. 😂🤍
Some of my favourite photographs happen when you’ve forgotten about the camera for a second.
It’s the way you naturally reach for each other’s hand. The look that makes one of you immediately start laughing. The forehead kisses, the teasing, the quiet cuddles and all those tiny little things you probably don’t even realise you do.
Those are the moments I’m looking for.
Because your relationship doesn’t look like anyone else’s, and your photographs shouldn’t either.
You Don't Need To Know How To Pose
One of the biggest things I hear is “we’re so awkward in photos.”
Good news: you don't need to arrive knowing what to do. 😂
I’ll give you gentle direction and prompts throughout your session, but I'm not expecting you to memorise poses or somehow become professional models the second a camera comes out.
We might walk along the beach, move together, talk, cuddle, muck around or do something that gets you both laughing. I'll read the energy between you and guide the session from there.
Some couples are naturally affectionate and cuddly. Some spend half the session taking the piss out of each other. Most are a mixture of both.
There isn't one right way to be in love.
It Can Be Romantic & A Little Bit Ridiculous
I love the quiet moments, the kisses, the cuddles and the photographs where it feels like nobody else exists.
But I also love the ones where you're laughing so hard the romantic moment lasted approximately three seconds. 😂
